  • Current PHRF ratings apply (boats without rating will be given one for race)
  • Boats will monitor Ch 68
  • Final cut off time 1500
  • Entry Fee...'the Ox is Back' special...$50.00 per vessel includes up to 4 Ox Roast BBQ tickets (smokn deal).
  • Race information packets will be available in Semiahmoo Marina offices..and Blaine Marine Center offices ... week leading up to race.
  • Also available at Skippers meeting July 9 ( Nauti friday) and the morning of race...Cut off time to be confirmed...all at Semiahmoo Marina

    Shipwreck Day Celebration
    July 16, 17th

    
    Saturday morning coffee and breakfast treats will be served on the marina dock at 8:00am.

    SYC has Saturday night dinner reservations at the Elks Club in Anacortes. Prime Rib or Lemon Chicken dinner with all the trimmings will be served for $16.00 per person. Happy hour starts at 5:00pm, a no host bar will be setup and appetizers are included in the cost of the meal. If you are coming by car for the Shipwreck Day celebration on Saturday we encourage you to join us for dinner at the Elks.
    
    Please RSVP to Al & Beoma Oakley if you want to dine with the group no later than July 10th.

    Drop an anchor or tie up to one of 16 park buoys. Crabbing is good here so bring your bait and traps.

    July 19, 20 & 21st

    Rosario has several bouys in the bay for $25.00 a night or make a moorage reservation at the marina. Al & Beoma are planning a Pizza gathering at the Cascade Bay Cafe one evening, a Moran Mansion Museum tour and Christopher Peacock Organ concert. Please make your own slip reservations and then email Al & Beoma Oakley that you will be attending this leg of the cruise.

    When Al Oakley decided to put Victoria in the Summer cruise he thought best to get some Canucks to host the event. He was concerned about the language barrier (speaking Canadian),Currency issues (is it a loonie or a toonie) and customs and immigration(we don’t really have one).
    
    Patty and I are pleased to be your hosts as this city has lots to offer. The above link from our marina website has everything you need. We are just finalizing our meeting location for morning coffee and Happy hour and will be back to you with those details.
    
    Your hotel has an award winning restaurant and there are many more within walking distance. For those of you who have never visited Victoria I would strongly recommend the BC Royal Museum as a must. Admission is $9.00  CDN for seniors, not bad EH. For those that have been to Victoria before I would recommend the Craigdarroch castle and maybe lunch at the Oakbay Marina. I will give you the dates we will do these adventures later this week. Hope you are all enjoying your July1 and July4 celebrations.
