This is an anchor/raft/dock destination in the Jones Island Marine State Park. The park is open all year with overnight mooring and camping. The bay at the north end of Jones Island provides excellent anchorage. Those boats who choose to anchor near the beach will need to run stern-ties ashore, leaving swinging room for boats anchored in the middle. It is said that current run through the bay, so leave plenty of room to swing on your anchor. There are seven mooring buoys in the bay and a 264' mooring float leads to shore. There is fresh drinking water from a well, but this might run dry in the Summer months.

An excellent destination for families with children who enjoy hikes and some domesticated deer. Plan to arrive at the bay early because this is a popular spot and mooring buoys and float space can be hard to get. If you are lucky to find dock space do not leave any food out because raccoons are known to go aboard unattended boats.
