We are getting ready to launch the second season of the Friday Night BBQ. We are expanding it a bit this year, and trying to make it a bit more theme orientated with beach party decor, games, and more. We have enlisted KAFE Radio to help with the promotions and they'll be doing live broadcasts out here for 5 of the dates. We also got the local brewery, Boundary Bay, on board, so they'll be out too. Apparently the owner of the brewery likes to play Extreme Croquet, like normal croquet but with a more challenging course, so we'll be adding that as a feature as well. For the first few dates through June, Geoff Menzies of the Drayton Harbor Oyster farm will be delivering fresh oysters on the beach via his skiff about 6:30pm on Friday; so we'll grill them right up! Britain also plans on brining some of his kayaks around to display, promote (and rent) during the evening. It should be a load of fun this year. Jeff Kline Operations Manager |
